Arrive In Lisbon, Portugal
Morning arrival in Lisbon Airport. Your tour leader from CONSERVATIVE TOURS will be there to greet you with your chauffeur and together we’ll transfer to your hotel. Welcome to Lisbon, a myriad of delights as Portugal’s star attraction, yet with a fraction of the fuss of other European capitals. Cathedrals, birthplace of St. Anthony, monasteries and charming museums are all part of the colourful cityscape. This evening enjoy a group welcome dinner.

Lisbon
Today’s panoramic tour of Lisbon highlights the variety of heritage and styles that makes this one of Europe’s most beautiful cities. Begin with the treasured 16th century Belem Tower and Jeronimo’s Monastery, the city’s most prominent monument, designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Today, the monastery serves as a reminder of Portugal’s wealth and power during the Age of Discovery. Then, to the dramatic Monument of Discoveries, built in honor of Henry the Navigator, instrumental in the success of Portuguese explorations during the 15th century. His monument stands majestically at the marina in Belem, starting point for many of the country’s explorers. Walk through the cobbled alleys of Alfama, the seaman’s quarter, and admire the wide Liberdade Avenue. Rest of the day at leisure. Tonight explore Lisbon & some of the traditional restaurants on your own.

Sintra-Cabo da Roca-Cascais-Estoril
Today explore Sintra, Cabo da Roca, Cascais and Estoril. Your first stop on this fascinating day’s adventures is the historic town of Sintra, where a walking tour takes you to delve into the village’s treasures and includes a tour of the Palacio Nacional de Sintra. Next it’s on to Cabo da Roca, the westernmost point of Continental Europe. Your day’s activities take you along to the famous resort of Cascais and the cosmopolitan coastal village of Estoril. Late afternoon return to Lisbon.

Óbidos – Fátima

Morning departure for Fatima. We first stop in Óbidos, one of Portugal’s oldest Roman settlements. Visit the city center including the medieval tower & Óbidos Castle surrounded by the original city walls. Enjoy a Portuguese liquor called Ginjinha. In the afternoon our tour will continue to Fátima. Check in at your lovely
hotel and enjoy dinner at your hotel.

Fatima – Coimbra – Porto
This morning we visit the nearby Aljustrel to visit the House of the three Shepards: Lucia, Francisco and Jacinta, as well as the Fatima Parish Church, known as the Church of the Three Shepherds. Our tour continues to visit the Shrine and Basilica of Our Lady. In the afternoon on our way to Porto, visit the historical university town of Coimbra and its outstanding library. The city is a colorful mix of medieval architecture, bell towers, extravagant baroque churches and stately buildings. Late afternoon check in at your hotel in Porto followed by dinner at a local restaurant.

Porto
Porto City Tour & Wine Tasting. This morning start your day with breakfast at your hotel. Next, your day’s activities include a tour of Porto. In Porto, visit of the Stock Exchange, St. Francis Church and Port Wine Cellars with the delicious opportunity to sample port during a wine tasting experience. Our tour will end with a spectacular Douro River “6 Bridges Cruise.” Tonight enjoy an evening on your own to delve into the magic of Portugal’s Porto.

Douro Valley
Porto Douro Valley. After breakfast in your hotel, departure for the Douro Valley, home to the vineyards where Port Wine and Portugal’s most outstanding red table wines are produced. Enjoy a local wine tasting session while enjoying the spectacular scenery where verdant terraced hills and colorful fields dotted by almond trees meet the vast Douro River. Today enjoy a local lunch at a traditional restaurant. In the afternoon return to Porto.

Guimarães – Santiago
Today we travel to Santiago De Compostela, (Spain) through the Minho Province, home of the famous Vinho Verde. Visit Guimarães, the first capital and birthplace of Portugal, enjoy the medieval city center, decorated with beautiful granite facades. Today enjoy a local lunch including Vinho Verde wine and local cheese. In the afternoon we continue to Galicia. In the afternoon check in at your hotel in Santiago.

Santiago De Compostela – Cabo Finisterre
This morning an orientation walk introduces you to the old city center. Then, attend Mass in St. James Cathedral, which houses the Apostle James’ remains beneath the high altar and the famous Botafumeiro. This afternoon journey to Cabo Finisterre, where pilgrims have traditionally completed their walk and burned their robes. Later, return to Santiago de Compostela, known throughout history for the key 9th-century pilgrimage route, the Camino de Santiago (or Way of Saint James) with time to explore on your own before dinner.

Santiago – Porto

Morning departure for Porto crossing the Minho Valley. Enjoy a traditional farewell lunch in boarder city on the Minho River Caminha. In the afternoon we reach Porto airport for your return flight home.
